![]() I haven't experimented with case fill specifically, but I find that TB sometimes "tops out" at a velocity at which increasing the charge makes little more velocity, but can be worthwhile for better accuracy. No point in batching up lots of loads if they ain’t where I need em to be !! I’ll be letting you know when things really start to rock and roll.Ĭan anybody verify or refute whether lots of airspace in a TB load = lots of velocity deviation. ![]() simply to establish ballpark, and shared for the community due to their being not much else out there. Meawls wrote:That’s exactly what these loads were. ![]() I wouldn't hang my hat on the results of three-shot "groups" either, but they're okay to get ballpark velocities so you know how close to subsonic you are. 4gn of Trailboss should put a 55gn jacketed bullet in the subsonic area, adjust to find the sweet spot, barrel length plays a role in your velocity, also whether you neck-size or FLS the brass. Use heavy bullets if you want subsonic, very light bullets need _extremely_ small charges to stay subsonic. by all accounts these tend to result in less velocity deviation. I also plan to substitute the BR primers for magnums once I’ve found a load that sits just below the barrier. All were groups of 3 fired at 100 metres. didn’t want to go much lower because it would leave quite an airspace in the cases, which by all accounts leads to increased deviation in velocities, which by all accounts leads to less accuracy. All loads with Federal match primers, and 5gns trailboss. I was unsure whether these loads would stabilise in the 1:12 barrel. ?! Wouldn’t need to expand at all for easy day-long headshots. by boy-ohhh-boy were they fun to fire, especially in that massive VSSF! And how about exactly 1/2” at 100M. So pick the perfect software for your needs. There are a lot of great options out there, from free programs like FastStone Image Viewer to paid programs like Adobe Lightroom Classic. Now that you’ve finished this article, you’re ready to grab a photo organizer and start managing your photos. Organize Your Files with Our Favorite Image Management Software! The program may lack the polish of some other photo organizing software, but it is completely free to download, plus it’s surprisingly capable. For example, you can sort by date of capture, EXIF date, file type, image width, and orientation. To browse through your photo collections, XnView Classic has various filters and sorting options. Additionally, it shows the old name and new name side by side so you can check on the changes you’ve made. The renaming tool is easy to use and allows you to create handy naming templates. ![]() Furthermore, it has two vital features: batch processing and batch renaming. This is because it has relatively low system requirements and doesn’t use much processing power. XnView Classic is also ideal if you have a large photo collection. This is great if you want to make your images more searchable or add important things like titles, keywords, and captions. You can directly edit important image data by right-clicking on it, such as XMP, IPTC, EXIF, and ICC metadata. You can easily change the hierarchy of your folders, create new folders, rename files, move images, etc. To start, you get a complete folder navigation system. Despite its relatively outdated appearance, this program is highly functional and has some highly useful features. ![]() If you prefer a more retro interface, XnSoft XnView Classic is a fantastic program. If you need this flexibility, you can upgrade to a paid storage plan (note that the storage can be used across Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail). This is perfect for JPEG photos, but it essentially means you cannot use the free version to store RAW images. However, there is a caveat – you only get 15 GB of free storage. The Utilities tab also lets you make some cool things like movies, animations, and collages.Īs mentioned, Google Photos is completely free to use. The albums feature allows for better photo management as you can then organize the images by specific parameters as opposed to by date. The main view is how you can see your entire photo collection from there, you can select individual photos, although there is no option to filter your images or change the view, which some could find annoying.įor each photo, you can add a “favorite” tag, make basic edits, and/or add the file to albums. ![]() This includes the main view, an Explore feature, sharing options, and even access to a print store if you want to create physical copies of your files. "Check out our new line of Night Owl wireless cameras that come complete with their own wires". Perhaps Night Owl is trying to redefine the term wireless. My phone is wireless (batteries), wireless tools (batteries), wireless headphones (batteries), wireless doorbell (wireless), etc. Their "wireless cameras" have wires! It's terribly misleading to sell "wireless cameras" and then add a small blurb that says "ac adapters are included". What I did see were 4 electrical cords and I thought they were for people that wanted to avoid the battery costs. I was excited to get it set up but after opening the box, I didn't see any battery slots for the cameras. I bought a wireless camera because I did not want to bother with electrical cords or a/v cables hanging through my house. I had read all of their terrible reviews and despite that I bought the refurbished model because it was $75 less than a new truly wireless camera that many of my friends had raved about. I bought the "wireless" NightOwl security camera on sale as refurbished because the price was affordable. It should be noted that Costco stopped carrying this in their store. Recently tested them with the simplest question of all "which version of remote software is your most current?" Again, no response except the same thing they always do which is send an email asking for ALL my registration information again and again. Again, attempted to obtain support - Zero. Then, experienced connectivity problems with remote software for my PC. Attempted to contact Night Owl and they refused to respond. This was an extensive and expensive installation to complete, so I could not simply pull out the unit and return to Costco. It wasn't till the system was completely installed that it became apparent there is NO Audio capability. Purchased Night Owl 4 camera system from Costco. As for the Rattler TS-35, in my opinion it is an excellent optic for the my use having 10 acres, 4 acres timber and 6 acres open field. The raccoons were no problem at 50 yards though and I gotta say I get the whole thermal craze now, that was a lot of fun to have multiple targets and have the complete element of surprise. first night chalked up 2 raccoon kills and spotted a coyote but didn’t want to shoot it since I was only sighted in for the 22. ![]() With that handy function I can make a game time decision of whether I need subs for discretion or if I need to stretch out to distance. It has 4 calibers that I can save for sighting in and an American defense mount that returns to 0, so currently the plan is 22lr, 22 WMR, 300 BLK and then maybe the 6.5 grendel. I did get the thermal on the other night, currently have it mounted on a tac sol 10/22 just for testing out the functions. Inside of 150 yards it gets dramatically easier - zero at 75 yards. You’ll have the same 1 mil drop between 190 and 210 yards. Going to a 338 whisper or even a 510 whisper - you’ll get the extra mass and energy, but you can’t beat gravity. Going bigger doesn’t make much of a difference. That being said, LeHigh 194 ME and 174 CF will expand at 900 FPS so that’ll work at 200 yards. Also good trigger fundamentals are required when shooting subsonic. I’d also consider the time of flight 0.6 seconds is a long time. I have done 200 yards through a pulsar with my DTA Covert with subsonic 208 amax and 200 Lapua fmjbt on a 6” gong for shit and giggles but not something I’d ever consider for actual hunting. Just between 190 and 210 yards you get 1 full mil of drop - you better be sure you have the right distance and a load that you can trust. Based on my ranges and known targets does anyone have any recommendations of flatter shooting subsonic rounds or do I just say fuck the neighbors and throw it on one of the 5.56 AR’s? Any info or experience from you knowledgeable hide members would be greatly appreciated! I have plenty of 223, 6.5 grendel 22 WMR, 6.5 creed and other popular caliber rifles, SBR’s and PCC’s that I can suppress but you still get the crack of the round. I would prefer to keep it subsonic just for the quiet shots taken at night as I have some nosey neighbors about 6-700 yards to my sides (none to the front or back where the shooting lanes are). Most shots will likely be taken inside 100 but my property offers me ranges out to 200 and I would prefer to be able to cover the whole area if possible. However I don’t have enough faith in the accuracy shooting it with thermal out to 200 yards. I currently have a 300BLK SBR 8” barrel and it loves the 220 SMK’s for subs. If you go the subsonic route, please work your load up carefully practice diligently and wait patiently for the perfect opportunity.Hoping someone could chime in on this, I just purchased an AGM Rattler 35 to do some varmint/predator hunting and chicken coop defense (coyote, fox, bobcat and cougar).
